Contenticious works from any operating system that can run Perl and provide access to a terminal.
Previously from building the site with simple commands in the CLI, the site editors need to place their content inside Markdown files.
When compiling, Contenticious takes this content, uses some predefined templates (which developers can edit as well) and outputs the site as static HTML, JS and CSS files.
These files can then be uploaded to a Web server (if not compiled directly on it) and serve and someone's homepage.
Since getting Contenticious to work is kind of difficult for first-time Perl developers or for persons that have not used a static site compiler before, documentation is also provided with the download packages.
As a sidenote, Contenticious works on the Mojolicious Web framework and works just as any other Mojolicious app, also coming packed with the hypnotoad Web server out of the box.
